Good afternoon all, i hope you are all well and creating some fabulous masterpieces..!
Ive had itchy fingers today and just had to do something even slightly creative.
I know that the housework is beckoning, but it's going to have to wait - there are just some things much more important, like journaling..!!
I enjoyed making the 'Graphic 45 Alice in Wonderland' collage so much, i thought i would use the rest of the cut - out images on a different page.
I did the same colour background as on the first page, which was Adirondack Dabbers in Lettuce and Watermelon, and Dylusions Spray Inks in Cut Grass and Crushed Grape.
Once i had applied the paint to the page and let it dry, I sprayed the Crushed Grape Ink in small pools along the top of the page and the tilted my journal towards me to enable the ink to run down the page, it makes a lovely grungy look. Then i stamped each side of the page with Dylusions leafy stamp, to balance the page out.
I wanted to make the tree and the clock the focal point of this page, so i positioned them first and built the rest of the page around them. Again, once the images are glued into place, i outlined each of them with a black fine liner, just to 'ground' the images on the page. It's surprising how much of a difference it makes to your pages.
I was surprised how many images i had left from the original few papers, and i still had a few left over.
I really enjoyed making this page, although i had made one very similar a few weeks earlier. Although this is similar to the first one, it is different enough to work in it's own right, the images aren't replicated at all and it makes a nice second page.
I absolutely love crafting with Graphic 45 papers. They are just gorgeous to collage with as well as making journals, books and 3D projects with.
I really enjoyed today and my fingers aren't as itchy as they were when i started, although that doesn't mean the housework will be done any quicker!!!
Thanks for looking and please leave a message as i love to see who has visited me.......
Happy crafting
Gem x
